Miracles

Miracles still happens and believers ought to be part of the power of God. We understand from the Scriptures that all those who came to Christ went back rejoicing. They couldn’t have gone home rejoicing if there was no miracle in their lives (cf. Acts 10:38). Jesus said, “hitherto have ye asked nothing in

my name, ask and ye shall receive that your joy may be full.” (John 16:24). An answer to prayer releases the fullness of joy on the inside of you. How can I get a miracle? Lets glean from Luke 9:11.

Luke 9:11 – “And the people, when they KNEW it,        FOLLOWED him and he RECEIVED them, and

SPOKE unto them and HEALED them.”

Permit me to take some hermenuetical liberties as we analyze our text. We shall concentrate on the action words (verbs) in our text.

Step 1 – BE WELL INFORMED – “they KNEW it”

From our text, to know means to be in an intimate relationship by experience. II Timothy 2:15 – “Study to show yourself approved unto God ….” A Christian that needs a miracle must know what God say about his problem(s). Daniel 9:2-3: In the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years ……………. And I set my face unto the Lord my God, to seek by prayer …… .”

Step 2 – BE OBEDIENT TO HIM – They ‘FOLLOWED him”

To follow means to obey. “If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat of the good of the land” (Isaiah 1:19). Your obedience is a springboard to your miracle. A Christian that needs a miracle must be willing to wash in the River Jordan, he must be willing to wash in the Pool of Shilon, and he must do what the Master asks of him. John 2:5 – “His mother said unto the servant, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.”

Step 3 – BE REST ASSURED – “he RECEIVED them”

We must be rest assured that when we come to Christ with our problem(s), he will not let us down. He is the friend that sticks closer than a brother. Anyone that comes to Him, He will not cast away.

Step 4 – WAIT ON GOD – he “SPOKE unto them”

God will always speak concerning our situation if we allow Him. This is where most Christians either win or lose the battle for their miracles. “They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength.” The process of waiting is sometimes painful, but we must be willing to endure to the end. God has a timetable for your life and He will fulfill His promises in your life at His own time. Don’t give up or give in, your miracle is on the way.

Step 5 – ANTICIPATE YOUR MIRACLE – “and HEALED them”

You must anticipate the arrival of your miracle by being fully persuaded that God will do what He said He would do. As we anticipate our miracles, we must confess that we have it and then enter His presence with thanksgiving in our heart and into His court with praises. You are marked for miracle! Have a very rewarding week.
